Not car related. I was asked to design a good logo for the 20th anniversary of a program here at my school. I made this but my prof says it isn't "wow" enough and is too boring. Yeah... that's the point, this logo will be going on letters and pamflets and stuff. It's not suppose to be crazy... Also the entire recent trend in graphic design is towards minimalism... No. I am not going to use Comic Sans in this logo, no matter how much you want me to. /rant over

I think it looks good.
Communicates a lot of information.
Maybe make the "EPICS" span the width of 1995 and change the fonts.

can't change the logo... it's not mine to mess with sadly.

The design is giving equal weight to "Epics" and "Purdue" (perhaps even more weight to "Purdue", since it's in color). I may be wrong, but I think that "Purdue" should not be as prominent as "Epics". Perhaps stack "Purdue" above "Epics", shrink the "Purdue" until its width is equal to that of "Epics" and center the stack above "1995-2015". Play around with the overall size of the Purdue-Epics vertical stack until proportions are good. Maybe swap "Epics" and "Purdue" so that Epics is on top of Purdue and commands more attention.

Hmm... why not a black background with white text? it's seems a bit more eye catching imo. and make the "gold" glitter a bit more.

Because odds are this wouldn't be used on black paper.

I see where you're coming from and agree, but you've got to fix the kerning on all of the numbers; space between the 1 and the 9 is huge, space between the 0 and 1 is huge.

I know, it really is. The font is really awkward.
